Sky, Earth, Water, Plants, etc....( = Misc.??)

Today marks the 12th Anni. of setting up of HKSAR. What a hot day it is !!! (you know, both physically and politically) However, it is a good day for taking some photos of landscape. Share with you some of them. As I have processed the photos with the Koda Chrome Film curves, it seems that the outcomes are quite good and film-like.

W.E.I.R.D !!!

Really wierd today - in such a sunny day, at the very time when the butterflies rearch for foods, I can't find any of them... even after a long waiting, only one or two of them can be located: (1) Ypthima baldus (Common Five-ring) and (2) Hebomoia glaucippe (Great Orange Tip) (I find the name finally after extensive searching...).

Lepidoptera Insecta

Having found four types of Lepidoptera Insecta today:
(1) Parantica aglea (Glassy Tiger), (2) Parathyma sulpitia (Five-dot Sergeant), (3) Graphium sarpedon (common bluebottle), and (4) Euploea midamus (Blue-spotted Crow). Maybe it was really too hot (about 30 deg. cel.) today, I could not find many new types.

The Power of Carl Zeiss ZF 50mm F1.4

Originated from the design of P. Rodulf in 1896, the traditional "planar" lens has not been outperformed notwithstanding the advance of coating and other electronic technology. This purely mechanical lens is difficult but enjoyable to use. It produces sharp and detailed image at the point of focus and very "creamy" bokeh at the out-focus areas. Two first trial samples are shared with you....

Sea of Flower at Victoria Park

One year has gone... it's the time to hold the annual flower show at the Victoria Park. The show has only been open for one day and I saw a number of flowers / plants / decoration have been devastated... poor sense of citizenship in Hong Kong....

Canton Pop Stars

Today, originally wants to take some flower photos by the so called "king of macro lens" - Nikkor AF 200mm F4D. However, as the light conditions are so poor, largely failed. When walking around the Kowloon Park, just see a basic law promotion held in the central plaza of the park. It's a good experience (quite strange) to use a macro lens to take portrait.... Is the result ok??
